Dark Patterns is a site wiki dedicated to showing you all the different scams and tricks people online do to trick you into buying junk you didn’t want or adding dodgy software to your installs. Now I all know you guys always say the same “I don’t install dodgy software” or “How did that get there? I never installed that!” or “Why have I got a suitcase for £30 when I didn’t order it” but you all do it! You see.. it’s not just dodgy sites that are doing this but well known reputable sites as well. Those marketing guys are getting REALLY REALLY sneaky! Now here is a gadget I have been dieing to see released. The new HP Slate which is basically Hp’s answer to the Ipad. Now I get a lot of stick for this being non biased and all, but I really hate Apple products. I can smell the “rip off” factor a mile away and to be honest the Mac Fanbois make the Linux guys seem like cool people.
Spotify Streamer - Something everyone should have installed!
Alright it might not stream directly to your face but pretty damn close. You see most of you might already know what Spotify is but I was AMAZED at how many people who had never heard of it before! Morfarpower actually was the one who pushed this one on me and after lots of “SERIOUSLY DUDE TRY IT”s later I finally gave in and installed the stupid app.. So was it stupid? Oh no it was brilliant! Yeah I know you have got mp3′s on your hard disk but Spotify streams like an EPICLY huge database of songs straight to your computer live as you search for them. Imagine YouTube but for music and really good quality!
